TV configurations: save and send

Prepare reusable settings, send them to your TVs and confirm their application on each device.

01

Understand the configuration library

TV configurations stores sets of settings you can reuse on your TVs. Each entry shows its name, saved version and modification date. Use its buttons to edit, send or delete it.

You choose when to apply settings

Save the configuration, send it to the TVs you choose, then accept it on each one. Waveo applies the settings and restarts. Nothing is synced automatically.

02

Create a configuration on the website

  1. 01Open TV configurations, then Create configuration.
  2. 02Choose a name that describes its purpose or target TV.
  3. 03Browse Preferences, My Wave settings and Remote shortcuts.
  4. 04Expand the subsections and adjust the values you need. Search settings filters the fields in the selected tab.
  5. 05Review the included settings, then choose Save.
A new configuration includes many settings

A configuration created on the website starts with default values for all available settings. Check them before sending: included values will replace those on the TV after you confirm.

03

Start with settings from a TV

  1. 01On an updated TV, open Backup/restore in Waveo preferences.
  2. 02Choose Back up now, then Settings and preferences only.
  3. 03Name the backup and let it finish saving locally.
  4. 04Choose Send to cloud when offered and connect your account if needed.
  5. 05In My Wave, open TV configurations, choose Refresh and open the received configuration.

Keep locally only saves the backup on the TV without adding it to My Wave. If the cloud upload fails, the local backup remains available; check the connection and try sending again.

A configuration from a TV may include only some settings. Default shown marks a setting that is not included: changing it adds it to the configuration. Settings not included keep their current values on the receiving TV.

04

Edit and save a configuration

Choose Edit on the configuration. The lists, switches, sliders and reorder arrows match Waveo’s settings. Save your changes before sending; Send stays unavailable while the draft is unsaved.

If you close the editor without saving, it asks whether to discard your changes. After saving, you still need to choose Send to deliver the new version to your TVs.

05

Send to one or more TVs

  1. 01Choose Send on a saved configuration.
  2. 02Select the receiving TVs, or use the ID field to find a TV linked to your account.
  3. 03Check the compatibility shown and choose Send to … device(s).
  4. 04On each TV, open Waveo with Internet access and review the received configuration.
  5. 05Accept it on the TV, then let Waveo restart.
  6. 06Open the relevant screens on the TV to check the new settings.

Sending requires a compatible TV version, starting with Waveo 2.3.0. If a TV is missing, open TV configurations under Backup/restore on that TV, then refresh the destinations.

One pending configuration per TV

A new delivery replaces any configuration still waiting on each selected TV. Check the recipients before confirming.

06

Check reception on the TV

After My Wave confirms the send, the selected TVs still need to receive the configuration. On each TV, choose Apply and restart to use it, or Ignore to keep the current settings.

If no prompt appears, check the Internet connection, cloud account and Waveo version. Then open TV configurations from Backup/restore. Let the settings apply and Waveo restart before checking the result.

07

Cancel a delivery or delete a configuration

  • Cancel delivery: stops a request that can still be cancelled. If its status has changed, refresh before trying again.
  • Delete a configuration: removes the entry from your library after confirmation. Existing deliveries stay available until applied or cancelled.
  • Deleting an entry does not undo a configuration already applied. To revert settings, send the configuration you want or change them on the TV.

08

Find help with a setting

  • TV configurations: Preferences explains the interface, menus, guide, playback and subtitles.
  • TV configurations: My Wave settings covers sections, tabs, banners and content availability.
  • TV configurations: remote control explains button actions in the TV player, VOD player and guide.
