Cloud groups

Reorder, rename or hide your synced groups, individually or in batches.

Show the groups you want to edit

01In My cloud, select the correct playlist.
02In Sync, enable Groups if needed.
03Let the app sync its groups, then refresh My Wave.
04Open Groups and choose Channel, Movie or Series.
05Use search to find the groups you need.

This screen organises groups that have already synced. If a group is missing, first check that it appears in the app and that sync has finished.

Select one or more groups

Check the groups you want to edit. Select all selects every group matching the current filters. Check the count before applying an action to several groups. Clear selection unchecks them all.

In the Action menu, choose Reorder, Rename or Visibility. You can then act on one group or your whole selection.

Reorder groups

With a mouse or touch: press and hold a card, then drag it to the desired position.
To move a set: select several groups before dragging one of them.
To move to either end: use Move to top or Move to bottom.
With a keyboard: focus the group name, then use the up and down arrows, Home or End.

Clear the search to review the overall order. Check the moved-groups count, then save to the cloud.

Use the rename assistant

01Choose the Rename action and select the groups.
02Open Rename to show the assistant.
03Choose a transformation or Edit individually.
04Compare Before and After in the preview. Use search or Changed names only to help review the result.
05Choose Apply to draft when you are happy with the names.
06Back in Groups, choose Save to cloud to share the result.

Two separate steps

Apply to draft prepares the new names. They are only sent to the cloud when you choose Save to cloud.

Choose a name transformation

Edit individually: edit each new name directly in the preview.
Add or remove a prefix: changes text at the start of the name.
Add or remove a suffix: changes text at the end of the name.
Find and replace: replaces every occurrence of text. Leave the replacement empty to remove it; Ignore uppercase and lowercase broadens the search.
UPPERCASE, lowercase or Capitalize each word: makes the name formatting consistent.
Replace country prefix with a flag: recognises a country code at the start of a name. Unknown prefixes stay unchanged.
Clean up spaces: tidies the spacing in names.

Keep and continue lets you combine transformations before applying them. Undo step removes the last kept step; Start over returns to the names you opened the assistant with. Fix any names marked as empty before continuing.

Hide or show groups

01Choose Visibility in the Action menu.
02Select the groups.
03Choose Hide or Show.
04Save to the cloud, then check the result on the device after it syncs.

Hiding changes whether the group is visible. It does not delete the provider’s content.

Restore original names

In the Rename action, select renamed groups and choose Restore when available. Check the original names shown, apply them to the draft, then save to the cloud.

Save or discard the draft

The counters show how many groups you have moved or edited. Choose Save to cloud to keep your changes, or Discard changes to return to the version you opened. If you reach a limit, edit fewer groups at a time.

The relevant devices will receive the result after a successful sync. A group marked Shared across playlists can also change in the other playlists that share it.
