13. Settings (Preferences and management)

Settings cover general information, playlist management, preferences, group and live-stream management, connection tests and premium codes.

13.1 General information

  • App version and device information.
  • Source validity information when it is provided by the current playlist.
  • Number of films, series, live streams and programmes in the playlist.
  • Date of the last playlist content update.
  • Name of the active playlist.

13.2 Preferences

Advanced features

Some preferences require advanced access because they affect synchronization, backups or device-wide behavior.

  • Interface language.
  • 12h/24h time format.
  • Number of live streams displayed in TV Favorites.
  • Number of live streams displayed in TV History.
  • History addition threshold: delay or deactivation.
  • Playback percentage to mark a movie/episode seen.
  • Marker display Seen on posters.
  • EPG offset.
  • Replay delay (up to 12 hours if necessary).
  • Personalized VOD and live user-agent.
  • Show the group ALL in VOD.
  • OpenSubtitles account and language.
  • Backup and Restore
  • And much more!

13.3 My Wave settings

Premium codes

My Wave groups account, access-code and device-management tools.

  • Review linked devices, copy codes and keep device names readable.

13.4 Premium codes and devices

  • Android TV and Fire TV use the same access-code model.
  • A code can link compatible devices according to the limits shown in My Wave.
  • Device names can be changed from My Wave.
  • Remove devices you no longer use before linking a new one.
  • For direct-release builds, use the code shown in My Wave or in the mobile app settings.

13.5 Cloud synchronization

Advanced features

Cloud synchronization is available when advanced access is active for the account.

Cloud synchronization links favorites and compatible playlist data between your own devices.

  1. 01Choose the playlist to import via Cloud Sync.
  2. 02Sign in with your Google account if the screen asks you to do so.
  3. 03Generate the code.
  4. 04Enter this code on the second device (see “Import playlist” section). The import starts automatically a few seconds later.
Precision

You can sync multiple devices.

A code is only used for one device at a time. If you need to sync multiple devices with each other, repeat the same operation with the other devices that need to sync to the source device.

13.6 Playlist and update

This section centralizes the data and parameters for updating your content and allows you to perform various actions including:

  1. 01Manage your playlists and profiles.
  2. 02Update active playlist.
  3. 03Configure the automatic updating of several playlists by checking those that interest you, and choose the update time as well as the frequency.
  4. 04For a manual update: choose a type of content (check among TV, VOD, etc.) then click on “Update”. Your selection does not influence the types of automatically updated content which are always global (films/series/live streams/programs).
Duration and schedule

The update usually takes 1 to 5 minutes.

The default time is 04:00 a.m.

The planning schedule is set in Playlist and Update.

13.7 Management and visibility of groups (films / series / live streams)

Group management is a advanced feature.

In the different menus, you can perform different actions including:

  • Rename a group.
  • Reorder the groups.
  • Hide groups.
  • Warning: the contents of a hidden group are no longer displayed in the search.
  • Gestures:
  • • Long click = rename
  • • Move with Up/Down
  • • Tabs by type: films, series, live streams

13.8 Channel management and visibility

advanced function

Channel management is advanced.

  • Principle identical to group management.
  • Reorder live streams and favorites.
  • Rename a channel.
  • Hide a channel.
  • Move: right arrow then Up/Down.
  • Short click = hide / long click = rename.

13.9 Connection test

Allows you to verify that the content source is responding and that the expiration date displayed is valid.

13.10 Remote control mapping

Remote control mapping allows you to assign an action to a button: single, double press or long press.

  • Color buttons.
  • Navigation buttons.
  • Directional gestures.
  • Used in particular in TV Player and EPG.

13.11 App version

  • Allows you to check for the presence of an update.
  • Start the update from the application.
  • On Fire TV, the update can be downloaded directly in the app.

  • In this section you will find information on the different developments of the app via a detailed changelog
  • At the bottom of the screen, a QR code to scan allows you to send an email to support
