Playlists and their sources
Set up an M3U, Xtream or Stalker playlist, its EPG sources and privacy options.
01
Create a playlist
- 01Open Playlists, then Add a new playlist.
- 02Give it a name you can recognise.
- 03Choose the playlist type that matches the details from your provider.
- 04Fill in the connection details and any options you need.
- 05Choose Save.
The saved playlist is a source for remote activations. To edit a playlist already synced between your devices, use My cloud.
02
M3U URL
Under M3U URL, paste the full playlist link from your provider, including all its parameters. This field accepts a web address; you cannot upload a file from your computer here.
03
Xtream credentials and backup servers
- Server URL: enter the server address, including the port if your provider specifies one.
- Username and Password: copy the supplied credentials, keeping the correct capitalisation.
- Backup servers: add up to three alternative addresses that work with the same credentials. They will be tried if the main server is unavailable.
- Show password: use this only to check your entry, then hide it again.
04
Stalker / MAG portal
Enter the portal URL and MAG/STB MAC address given by your provider. Under Additional portal information, only enter a username, password, serial number or device ID if your provider has supplied them.
For Send MAG device identity, follow your provider’s instructions. Otherwise, keep the current setting. The TV guide for Stalker playlists is configured in the app.
The MAC address requested by the Stalker portal belongs to your provider access. The ID used for remote activation is the one Waveo displays on the target device. Do not swap them.
05
Add EPG sources
For M3U and Xtream, you can add up to five TV guide sources. If you have not been given an EPG URL, leave this section empty.
- 01Choose Add EPG source.
- 02Enter a name and an HTTP or HTTPS guide URL.
- 03Keep Enabled checked to use this source.
- 04Use the arrows to arrange the sources by priority.
- 05Remove unused sources, avoid duplicate URLs, then save the playlist.
06
Hide credentials on devices
Check Hide credentials on target devices to hide the connection details in their TV or mobile interface. Review this choice before activation and keep your codes and provider credentials private.
07
Search, edit, activate or delete
- Search: find a playlist by name and use the type filters if needed.
- Edit: update the fields and save. Future activations using a remote code will use the current playlist details.
- Activate: open Activation with this playlist selected.
- Delete: remove the saved source after confirmation. To remove an installed playlist as well, do so on the device itself.
08
Find remote activation codes
Choose Edit on a playlist to find its remote activation codes. You can copy an active code or block it. The Remote activation chapter explains how to create a code and what happens when you block one.
