3.1 How do I move the focus?

The focused element is the one that will receive your next press of OK. WAVEO identifies it with a different outline, color, size, or brightness.

Up, Down, Left, and Right move the focus to a neighboring element.
OK (short or long press) opens, selects, or activates the focused element.
Back generally closes the panel, keyboard, or dialog in the foreground first.
A button's behavior depends on the screen and panel currently open.

3.2 How do I open and use the main menu bar?

01From the grid or TV guide, press Back or move the focus to the left edge.
02The menu expands when it receives focus.
03Move vertically through Profile, TV, Movies, Series, My Wave VOD, My Wave TV, Favorites, History, Search, or Settings.
04Press OK, then wait for the new screen to load its content.

Not every entry is always visible

A section may be absent if it contains no items, the feature is unavailable, or it has been hidden in preferences.

3.3 How do I use the groups menu?

The TV, Movies, and Series screens have a menu that organizes the active source's groups. With several playlists, the display can be traditional or grouped by playlist.

01In the main menu, choose Movies, Series, or TV.
02The focus moves to the groups list.
03Browse the groups: their content is previewed as soon as one receives focus.
04Press OK or Right to confirm the group and close the panel.
05Use the playlist shortcut at the top of the groups menu to change source without changing profile.

Long-press OK while focused on a group or playlist to change its order, hide it, or rename it.

3.4 What do short, long, and double presses do?

Short press OK: open or confirm the selected element.
Long press OK: open an actions menu when the screen provides one.
Double press: start a quick action in certain compatible players or screens.
Long press Back: exit or switch views in certain contexts.

3.5 How do I customize the interface?

01Open Settings > Preferences.
02Choose a text size suited to your viewing distance.
03With Premium, choose a font, theme, and focus color to suit your preferences.
04Reorder or hide only the menu entries you do not use.

3.6 How do I customize remote-control shortcuts?

Shortcuts are separated by context: TV guide, TV player, and VOD player. Customizing them requires Premium.

01Open Settings > Remote-control shortcuts.
02Choose the relevant screen.
03Select a button and the type of press to change.
04Assign a compatible action or choose No action.

3.7 I lost the focus or a button no longer responds

01Press an arrow button once without holding it.
02Wait for any animation or current loading operation to finish.
03Press Back to close a panel or keyboard left in the foreground.
04Return to the left edge to recover the main menu.
05If the focus is hard to see, choose a more contrasting theme or selection color.
06If only one button fails, test it on another screen or reset its shortcut.
